FREE ANNUAL HARVEST & BLOOM CALENDARS

ree

Plan your gardening & food forest year with these two simple and fun fill in the blank calendars!

Spreading out the harvest and bloom periods is an important layer of a self sustaining landscape design so I made these two printables to help you visualize your landscape's harvest and bloom schedules.

  • One heps you track when each plant in your garden or food forest blooms

  • The other helps you track when each plant is harvestable

Just fill in your plant names and shade the months they bloom or produce. It's a quick way to spot any gaps in your system.

PRO TIPS:

  • Spread out the harvest by choosing early, mid, and late season varieties (like spring apricots, summer peaches, and fall persimmons).

  • If getting 2 or more of one fruit/nut type, look for early, mid season, and late season varieties to spread out the harvest. For example, there are early, mid, and late season peaches that are harvestable from Late June til mid October in my area. My personal property has a peach tree that bears fruit in late june, one that fruits in mid july, a few dwarfs that fruit in August/September, and then another full sized peach tree that fruits in October. This allows us to eat fresh picked peaches for months while staggering the preservation of the abundance.

  • Boost pollination by planting early bloomers alongside your fruit trees. More bloom variety = more pollinators = better fruit yield.

These calendars are simple tools with a big impact.
